We rely on sponsors to provide important funding for costumes, sound equipment, props, staging, direction, and marketing. Our Company actors are currently unpaid community volunteers. There are many levels of Sponsorship, and anything can be completely customized to suit your company budget and needs.
Our goal as we move forward as a Company is to secure a home for Midland Classic Theatre Company, in the form of both an inside and outside Theatre, serving as a permanent fixture to offer the community a full season of events, providing an inclusive space for education and enjoyment of the classics! -

Laura Metzger-Bond

Laura Metzger is an acclaimed actor, director and choreographer receiving her training at Eastern New University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance (1997) and holds a certification in Shakespeare Studies at Harvard University (2020). Ms. Bond has appeared in countless roles throughout the region, performing as a lead actress in Othello, Wit, Dangerous Liaisons, Chicago, A Winter’s Tale and The Merchant of Venice. Ms. Bond has enjoyed a successful career as a director working on numerous plays including ‘Romeo and Juliet’, Hamlet, and The King and I. Ms. Bond is highly trained in stage combat and is one of the regions foremost experts in fight choreography. After founding ‘Midland Classic Theatre Company’ in 2018, Ms. Bond has brought many performances to local venues and festivals including Centennial Plaza, The Museum of the Southwest, Septemberfest, Arts Council of Midland, Juneteenth and the George Bush Library. Ms. Bond resides in Midland with her husband Bradley and their two children.
